چکیده

(1) Flatfoot is a common malformation in both children and adults, which proper arch fails to develop. This study aimed see how over-the-counter running shoes improved the gait patterns of flatfoot patients. (2) Methods: Three healthy subjects were included study. was diagnosed by lateral talometatarsal angle more than 4 degrees talocalcaneal 30 degrees. All patient data captured using Vicon motion caption cameras. The allowed walk at self-selected speeds with without shoes. (3) Results: Significant differences lower limb kinematics observed between barefoot shoe gait. In addition, wearing shoes, center mass changed. (4) Conclusion: improvement balance control clearly indicated, change on entire influenced normalizing stresses foot These valuable results can be used for rehabilitation programs.

Effect of Flat Foot on Excursions of Lower Limb Joints during Running

Introduction: The relationship between biomechanical parameters and different types of posture problems in association with running is unknown. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the excursion changes at the hip, knee, and ankle joints during running in the patients with flat foot. Methods: The participants comprised 12 healthy men and 12 others suffering from flat feet disorder. They ...

Prescribing Joint Co-ordinates during Model Preparation in Opensim Improves the Accuracy of Lower Limb Kinematics

The lower limb sidestepping kinematics of 20 elite female athletes were calculated using: 1) an established direct kinematic (DK) model (criterion) and, 2) two inverse kinematic (IK) models; one with and one without participant-specific joint co-ordinates prescribed during model preparation. The aim of this research was to determine whether prescribing joint co-ordinates influences the accuracy...

Effect of running speed on lower limb joint kinetics.

PURPOSE Knowledge regarding the biomechanical function of the lower limb muscle groups across a range of running speeds is important in improving the existing understanding of human high performance as well as in aiding in the identification of factors that might be related to injury. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of running speed on lower limb joint kinetics. METHODS K...

Effect of motion control running shoes compared with neutral shoes on tibial rotation during running.

OBJECTIVE To determine whether a motion control running shoe reduces tibial rotation in the transverse plane during treadmill running. DESIGN An experimental study measuring tibial rotation in volunteer participants using a repeated measures design. SETTING Human Movement Laboratory, School of Health Professions, University of Brighton. PARTICIPANTS Twenty-four healthy participants were t...

The effect of toe marker placement error on joint kinematics and muscle forces using OpenSim gait simulation.

Marker placement can be a significant source of error in biomechanical studies of human movement. The toe marker placement error is amplified by footwear since the toe marker placement on the shoe only relies on an approximation of underlying anatomical landmarks. Three total knee replacement subjects were recruited and three self-speed gait trials per subject were collected. The height variati...
